Thor 2 has cast a new villain to join Loki (Tom Hiddleston) in trying to take down the hammer wielding hero. Christopher Eccleston is a household name to any Doctor Who fan, who knows him as The Doctor in 2005's reboot of the series. Eccleston will play Malekith the Accursed, a character whose name makes you feel like you have a lisp if you say it out loud. I can't wait for Conan O'Brian to get a hold of a spoof for it.
According to Marvel lore, Malekith is the ruler of the dark elves in one of the nine realms. He teams up with Loki to take over realms with infinite power. To quote Eccleston from Doctor Who, I'm sure he will be a "fantastic" villain and a great addition to the already great Hiddleston. Thor: The Dark World is in theaters November 2013.
