| Hoult in Jack the Giant Killer |
This is not your average Jack and the bean stock story. Jack the Giant Killer is an old Cornish fairy tale about a boy from Arthurian times who must battle in a war against giants. Starring Nicholas Hoult (About a Boy, X-Men First Class) as Jack, the new movie also features Ewan McGregor, Bill Nighy, and Stanley Tucci. Hoult is best known as the cute British boy who befriends Hugh Grant in About a Boy.
Originally slated for a June 2012 release, the movie was pushed back until March 2013. Fairy tales have made a comeback in a big way, especially fairy tales with a twist. This particular tale was considered worthy of Bryan Singer, most famous for his role directing the original X-Men movies. Check out the trailer for the movie here.
