Rupert Grint goes Into the White

Rupert Grint Into the White

Rupert Grint (of Ron Weasley fame), along with David Kross (War Horse, The Reader) wage a personal war when both German and British soldiers are trapped in the bitter and cold wild during WWII in Into the White. The questions rage.  Who is the real prisoner of whom?  Who is the enemy?  Can they survive alone or together?  The conflict, which is based on a real story creates quite a unique situation.  I am very excited to see this film either when/if it hits U.S. theaters or when it appears on blu-ray.  It is already available on Amazon on Demand for around ten dollars.  Watch the trailer for Into the White here.

Rupert Grint Snags Television Show

Rupert Grint

Ron Wealsey fans (aka everyone) rejoice.  Rupert Grint is returning to the screen.  While he won't be battling spiders and Voldemort alongside Harry Potter and Hermione, he will be fighting a fast food fryer on CBS's Super Clyde, a show about a young superhero-fan who inherits enough money to fuel his desire to be a hero.  Sounds like a pretty awesome reason to watch Grint, and like a way to capitalize of The Big Bang Theory's push toward celebrating everything geek.

Sorry Harry, Ron gets the Torch

That's one Happy Ginger

The Olympics just got more ginger.  Rupert Grint, of Harry Potter fame donned his running shoes in Middlesex University, and jogged with the Olympic torch in hand. Grint admitted he wasn't exactly a running enthusiast, but would you be, if you were used to floo powder travel?  While I'd rather have a wand than an Olympic torch, it is still a pretty cool honor for a mere muggle.  Anyhow, it was a great day for gingers.  Isn't the torchfire ginger anyways?  Way to be the Chosen One for the day Ron!  Carry that torch high and proud.
